I’ve neglected the blog for the past several months due to work, school, and wedding planning commitments. Hopefully I’ll be able to provide more frequent updates this summer.
Classes for the semester wrapped up two weeks ago and I’m very pleased with how I did. This spring I earned a 3.4 GPA during the toughest semester of the program, which brings my cumulative GPA to a 3.3, or a B+. Coursework is curved at a 3.0 average, so I’m excited to be doing better-than-average in my program, which was recently ranked #1 in part-time MBA programs.
With coursework completed until August and the wedding just several weeks away, last weekend was an appropriate time for my bachelor party. I’m not going to divulge any details, but it was a fantastic (and responsible) couple of days in Tahoe with 13 close friends. Everyone had a blast and nobody got hurt. Selected pics below.
Mike and I went on a mountain bike ride in Tahoe on our way to the cabin Friday. We also rode with Chris on Sunday, on our way back from Tahoe.
Most of the crew on the back deck. That’s a BB gun, not a real firearm.
View of the lake from our rental house.
Awesome dinner the first night: Tri-tip, lemon-seasoned salmon, sausage, mashed potatoes, and a goat cheese and walnut salad.
We rented a pontoon boat on Saturday and spent part of the afternoon anchored in Emerald Bay, where some of the guys took turns climbing and jumping from rocks.
Relaxing in the hot tub.
Fantastic times. Wish I could do it again, but fortunately we’ll see everyone in about four weeks!
